Things to see in Vejer

Vejer de la Frontera is a town with a lot of history and traditions. There are many places and monuments to visit in Vejer, even though any corner of the town hides something special. Even the housing in Vejer already is an experience and also the service sector knows how to assimilate to the surroundings and how to multiplicate the enjoyment of the travelers on their visit.

The old town of Vejer de la Frontera was a walled city and for that reason Vejer de la Frontera is now located surroundings of this stone walled town. The stone wall has four doors and three towers that flank it: the Mayorazgo tower, the San Juan tower and the Corredera tower. More antique ones are the Arab remains of the city, spaces that were built because of the reconquist of the castles and churches: the church Parroquial del Divino Salvador was built on an antique Mosque and the castle of Vejer, that is a declarated National Monument since the 30´s, has clear islamic influences.
